As an on-going battle to raise a polite child in todays society we have been dilegantly working on manners with Alex. Currently, we are learning that it is appropriate to politely say No instead of pushing the item away with your hand or yelling "NO." We simply say "No Thank You."
Well, saying no thank you has proven to be very empowering for the young lad.
"Do you want some more eggs Alex?"
"No tank you."
"Would you like some sweet potato Alex?"
"No tank you."
So . . . yesterday after several requests to play gently with his brother Eli I asked Alex to go to his room until he calmed down and do you know what he said?
